My Story

My involvement in international education began in 1978 when my family hosted international students in our home. From a young age of six, I found the interactions with these students deeply engaging.

Throughout the past three decades, I have had the privilege of dedicating my career to international education. Witnessing first hand the transformative impact it has on young people's lives has been immensely gratifying. I firmly believe that traveling and meeting individuals from diverse cultures fosters a deeper global understanding, with profound implications not only for students but also for their families and local communities.

Over the years, I have overseen the education and well-being of more than 140,000 international students. These experiences have enriched me personally, through meaningful interactions not only with students but also with the dedicated individuals who facilitate these programs: host families, local coordinators, schools, and teachers alike.

Long may this journey continue.

In the spirit of reconciliation, My High School acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country across Australia and New Zealand their enduring connections to land, sea, and community. We honour and pay our respects to their Elders, both past and present, and extend this respect to all Maori, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our community today.
